Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today made the following statement following the passage of tax reform legislation in the Senate: “While work remains to be done, the Senate’s important vote brings us one step closer to providing tax relief to the middle class, lowering taxes on small businesses and making our corporate tax code competitive with the rest of the world. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that the conference committee produces a bill that takes the best components of the House and Senate plans, such as fully repealing the estate tax, eliminating Obamacare’s individual mandate, simplifying the tax code to fewer brackets, and immediately lowering corporate and individual tax rates. Hoosiers should get to keep more of their hard-earned dollars." ### Interested members of the media may contact Andrea Palermo andrea.palermo@mail.house.gov. |
