Rep. Jim Banks: Trump Budget is a Step in the Right Direction Toward Fiscal Sanity

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) released the following statement regarding President Trump’s proposed budget for the Fiscal Year 2020.  Congressman Banks serves as Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) Budget and Spending Task Force.

Said Rep. Banks, “Today, President Trump released a budget framework that delivers on major priorities for the American people and is a step in the right direction toward fiscal sanity.  I applaud the President’s commitment to border security, rebuilding our military, and getting serious about the bloated budgets and out of control domestic spending.  As Chairman of the RSC Task Force on Budget and Spending, we will be submitting a budget that reflects these commitments and goes even further to advance the fiscally responsible objectives that the American people expect from conservative Republicans.”
