Banks: Time for a Pro-Life NIH Director

Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today issued the following statement regarding recent comments by National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Dr. Francis Collins that defended using baby body parts for taxpayer-funded research: “It is clear that NIH Director Francis Collins is not the right fit for a pro-life administration. His comments defending the use of aborted baby body parts in taxpayer-funded research are reprehensible. Using federal tax dollars to fund research that requires the body parts of aborted children is immoral and goes against the values of this administration.
