Banks Attending Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy on Monday

Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today announced that he will attend the Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy’s Advanced Training on Monday in Indianapolis.

Every Indiana traditional public school corporation is required to have a school safety specialist who is certified by the Indiana Department of Education. To remain certified, participants must complete two days of advanced level training each school year.  Over 1,000 school safety specialists are expected to participate, including superintendents, principals, law enforcement officers, and other school safety partners.
