Banks Votes to Support Israel Funding

Today, Rep. Jim Banks voted in favor of H.R. 7217, a standalone bill to send $17.6 billion to Israel as it fights back against Hamas and other Iranian-backed terrorists. President Biden said he would veto this legislation: Said Rep. Jim Banks: “Supporting Israel in the aftermath of the October 7th attack by Hamas is not only the right thing to do, but vital to our own national security interests. There is nothing Tehran wants more than to see the fall of Israel and we cannot allow that to happen. President Biden’s refusal to stand with our greatest ally in the Middle East and instead appease the Ayatollah is deeply disturbing. In October 2023, Rep. Banks introduced a standalone supplemental to provide emergency aid to Israel, H.R.6113. |
