Reps. Banks and Tenney Intro Bill to Reverse Biden’s Forced Vaccination Order

WASHINGTON – Today, Reps. Jim Banks (IN-03) and Claudia Tenney (NY-22) introduced the Health Freedom For All Act to prevent the Biden Administration from enacting its planned vaccine mandate on the American people. The bill would clarify that under existing law the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) does not have the authority to implement rules requiring Americans to undergo COVID-19 vaccinations or testing.
The Health Freedom for All Act has been endorsed by several key groups, including the Heritage Action, American Conservative Union, American Principles Project, Americans for Limited Government, and Texas Public Policy Foundation. Said Jessica Anderson, Executive Director of Heritage Action: “As Americans, we are blessed to live in a society that grants us the freedom of personal choice. President Biden is denying Americans that freedom and instead weaponizing employers on behalf of the government to mandate workers get the vaccine. These mandates will grow distrust in our government, crush the livelihoods of anyone with a concern about the vaccine, and put our economy back on the brink. We applaud Reps. Tenney and Banks for working to stop these anti-choice mandates from ever seeing the light of day.” Said Kevin Roberts, CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation: “The Texas Public Policy Foundation thanks RSC Chairman Banks and Rep. Claudia Tenney for introducing the Health Freedom for All Act. This bill would stop President Biden’s unconstitutional national vaccine mandate that requires employers to force their employees to choose between their job or a vaccine. Mandating what drugs someone puts into their body is a gross overreach by the federal government and a violation of the right of individual Americans to make their own health care decisions.” Original Cosponsors: Jeff Duncan (SC-03) Jody Hice (GA-10) Brian Mast (FL-18) Jake LaTurner (KS-02) Lauren Boebert (CO-03) Doug Lamborn (CO-05) John Rose (TN-06) Madison Cawthorn (NC-11) Tom Tiffany (WI-07) Brian Babin (TX-36) Ronny Jackson (TX-13) Jerry Carl (AL-01) Jason Smith (MO-08) August Pfluger (TX-11)
