Banks: 69 Local Businesses Registered for Job FairCongressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today announced that the job fair he will hold in conjunction with Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) and WorkOne Northeast will feature sixty-nine businesses. The job fair will take place on Wednesday, August 2 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the IPFW campus in Fort Wayne. The job fair will feature regional postsecondary education institutions and local employers looking for workers. It will also feature resume assistance and interview coaching. Details on the event are below: WHAT: Banks holds job fair at IPFW WHEN: Wednesday, August 2, 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. EDT WHERE: International Ballroom, Walb Union, IPFW Campus 2101 E Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne PRESS: This event is open to press. Background: At the job fair, the following industries will be represented: agriculture, finance and insurance, education, government, health care and social assistance, manufacturing and retail. The following jobs are a few of the 1,700 vocations that will have openings: assemblers, human resource generalists, medical assistants, medical coding specialists, production positions, quality engineers, registered nurses, teachers, truck drivers and welders. Jobseekers will be able to meet with employers with openings and obtain resume and job interview assistance from WorkOne Northeast, which is overseen by Northeast Indiana Works.
